First slaughterhouse Vigil in Finland!
On Wednesday morning, in a small town near Turku, Finland, we held the first ever slaughterhouse vigil with local activists.
The day before, a Finnish activist and I gave a presentation about The Save Movement and what vigils are, how they help raise awareness and how they are organised.
The vigil was quite successful, and even though we only could bare witness to one truck going in, we managed to establish a good connection with the slaughterhouse manager who let us stay on their private property and told us when the truck would arrive.
Around 28 activists joined us. They were very passionate, emotional but committed!
